When this happens to you, are you sleep deprived?
Hypnogogle hallucinations. Comes from being sleep deprived, saw that in the military when we would go days on end in combat (yeah, I ain't sleepin' so long as they're trying to kill me). You're mind is awake, but not your body. Freaky as hell.
