Help!
The Loony Bin used to have boobies! It helps me forget about the boobies in american politics.
I'm trying to ignore the fact that Obama's speech this week called Medicare and Medicaid the “single biggest contributors to our long-term deficit” only a couple years after he supposedly "fixed" that in a game-changing massive-sweeping healthcare reform bill passed under a democratic monopoly. Why are we still trying to fix that which they claimed was fixed... at the cost of trillions of dollars? Was that wasted money? Did we upend 1/3 of the US economy in sweeping reform for nothing? Were the Tea-Partiers right, that the reform bill was a sham to consolidate power from the people and wouldn't fix the costs of health care as they claimed? Were the Republican's right who said the healthcare bill would add, not subtract, from the spiraling costs? Should we trust Obama THIS time, even though both versions of reform, then and now, both depend on the same false cost saving measure of cutting reimbursements to doctors by 30%, which will never happen because 30% is the average profit margin of a medical practice, and the doctors sure aren't going to work for free. Should we ignore the fact that the 30% cut got "fixed" by the same democratic monopoly two weeks after the health care reform bill passed, undoing all the cost saving benefits it was supposed to provide, but by then the public was so exhausted by the debate they totally missed this fact. Should we ignore the fact that Obama MUST know this savings can never be realized, making his "new" budget proposal as much of a sham now as it was the first time they passed it then?
Hopefully never again will one party have unfettered control of the government. We need the two to balance each other out and keep each other honest.

Now, if only we had some boobies to look at, to distract us, because without them I'll go mad.
