Takei is quite interesting. He appeared for free, I think, in some fan made Star Trek episodes. His acting can be a bit patchy. I listened to a ST spoken word CD and could not follow his voice acting ! As to the gay thing. Who wants to be gay when you can just be "sexual". Imagine the increased possibilities.
