I finally took the plunge and ordered an SSD.
I currently have 2 original WD Raptors (10k rpm) in a Raid 0. The original Raptors are 74GB each so my purchase of a 180GB (167 formatted) SSD is actually an increase in size for my system drive.
So in anticipation (and paranoia over constant writes to an SSD) of my new toy arriving in the coming week or so, I jumpped in to my system settings and removed the pagefile from my system drive to my 1.5TB drive, and also set all of my Temp locations (both user and system) to that drive as well.
Now while I'm in there, I notice that I haven't run the windows experience index thing since the last time I started from scratch. So I run it and I get a 5.9! Because of my primary HDD? Now how is that possible with 2 10k rpm drives in a raid 0?
My motherboard is an MSI x58 Platinum (or Platinum SLI but I don't remember which... and it's confusing because they both do SLI anyway)
Just broke my personal record for number of consecutive days without dying!
