Hats off, Paul Allen. You did much of what I'd like to think that I'd do if I were a multibajillionaire myself.

Dude had a heavy philanthropic streak, and likewise financed a lot of work in the sciences without much expectation for tangible return within his lifetime, not to mention any of his formative work within the computing industry.
