V65 I ride (when the wife gives me my balls for a bit) is like that. 2nd to 3rd shift and you are in triple digits when wailing on it.

Cool story...in '98 I was driving a '96 Thunderbird with the V8. Quick car, fun to drive, enjoyed it. I'm at a red light, 2AM, and a similar Viper to the one you described rolls up. No one around, straight road ahead. I'm thinking what any man with a pulse would be thinking..."Never getting this opportunity again, even if I will get my ass kicked".
Naturally I give him a few dozen revs to egg him on. Light turns green, I floor it. Probably the best launch I ever had in that car. I don't see or hear the Viper. I look back briefly, and he's just rolling off the light. He didn't bite.
I was just about to lay off the gas, when VVVROROOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMM WOOOOSHHHhhhhhhhhhhh....
Asshole gave me a handicap, and still blew my doors off. He passed me like I was standing still. My kind of asshole.
Fastest car I've raced, short of the alcohol funny car at the track on grudge night. Probably the only time my '68 Mustang looked like a waste of metal.
