I've been saying that for years and would vote for any party supporting that. I would add that there should be a basic exemption, say $10,000, that no tax is collected. So then if you earn 20k, you pay on 10k, and if you earn 200k, you pay on 190k. Heck you could still add a few basic exemptions like 1-2K per kid under 8, or whatever.

Also get rid of all other taxes, sales tax, booze tax, fat tax, etc. I still think there should be a penalty on smokes for health reasons, but that is a slippery slope. Some people eat potato chips into excess, causing health problems. Whereas, my chip consumption has never put me into a bad weight/cholesterol situation, so why should I be taxed?

Unfortunately, a flat tax would put a lot of government workers out of business. And would not give the political parties money to steal from one section to give to another, to buy votes. So a flat tax, no matter how sensible, will never happen.

Do not p-mail me for help compiling my updates, ask on the board.
Do not request sound for your favorite game. I work on whatever, when I get around to it.
If you have schematics for discrete sound games not easily found on the net, I would be interested.
