Colecovision Super Game Module

Ok so I was wondering how do I get these games working in MAME? Some games need this and does MAME emulate them? Example: trying to get Asteroids homebrew working in MAME.

Ok I can get the game working now if I start the game and hit tab and change the slot to sgm and reset. How do I get this to launch without doing this all the time? Create a ini? If so what would I put. What would be the command-line?

works
Now what would I put as a ini so the games launch? I tried making a coleco ini and inside putting -cart smg but that doesn't work.

So nobody here knows how to launch this game without going into the slot settings? Has to be a way to launch the game directly using a ini file.

So, just because no-one responded yet to a post you made just recently, you immediately come to the conclusion that 'nobody knows your sacred ini settings' ! We neeed theesee settingss NOW !
Pay attention to meeeeee !
Try this: in your 'mame' folder, put a textfile (do note, not your 'MS-Word' word processor, but a notepad text file) with a name like 'coleco-asteroid.cmd', and put this single line in it:

mame coleco -cart smg asteroid
Then double-clicking on that from file explorer, should lead to the holy grail you are seeking for, but were utterly unable to wait for an answer to !

it's
mame coleco -exp sgm asteroid
at least in the current codebase

Please do note that - apart from the incorrect commandline you gave, but thankfully has been corrected by Haze - I actually did give you a solution by just creating *.cmd files in your mame folder.

If you still want to try modifying your coleco.ini file, add this line to it:

It doesn't work because odyssey2 doesn't have any slots. Instead voice is a cartridge. I don't know which games have voice support, but let's assume that "ufo" does, then you would have on the command line:
>mame odyssey2 voice -cart2 ufo
