Are you sure that YouTube video you quoted is from MAME (or another emulator) and not a real original PCB (or vice versa).

I'm unsure if that video is from an actual pcb but all the video's on youtube suggest Arch Rivals & clones are playing too fast but play the game yourself & I think you'll agree with me. Thanks

It does not matter what is 'suggested', or how many video's suggest it. All that matters is how the real PCB's behaved, and if the emulation matches that.

Just to try it out, I started them with MAME 0.264. For all of the versions, MAME will tell you that "there are known problems with this system." There not supposed to work correctly. Thank you for wasting everyone's time on this.

So you literally watched *all* of the zillions (and that's an official number, a 'zillion') videos on YouTube ? All of them ? Are you sure ? You missed none of them ? Oh, the "life's work" of time and effort you must have poured into doing this ! Surely it must be your life's crown achievement ! If only all of this time and effort could have been put into something actually worthwhile ! Oh, well, too late for that now !

instead of posting rubbish why not help in confirming Arch Rivals & clones are playing fast but no just pull me down for finding a fault yet to be confirmd & asking for others to check.
no wonder people don't wanna say anything with users like you, sarcasm isn't needed when trying to confirm things & with a username of NewMameUser you've been banned before from more than a few sites.

If it cannot be confirmed or denied that the video's are from either real PCB's or emulation (mame or otherwise), then the only thing you can accurately state is that there might be a difference between the video and what MAME is currently doing, but you cannot (yet) be sure what consists of the correct (PCB) behavior. In other words, there is nothing to verify against (yet).

I've found out that sync to monitor refresh makes the game run faster & it's the only game I have found that does this.
