I'm trying to record a Mega Drive (megadriv) .avi video using a clean MAME 0.263 setup but the output video is heavily cropped on both sides. I tried to disable all artwork parameters but it had no effect. What could be the cause of this? When I record an arcade game, it records perfectly.

the megadrive hardware can change resolution at runtime, .avi format does not support runtime resolution or framerate changes.

Thank you for the explanation Haze. After using the -snapsize 320x240 parameter, the recording is fine.
