No Mattel Electronics Baseball in the play mix there?

When first seeing a Dragons Lair cab in person back in spring 1983 at Garden Grove Straw Hat pizza parlor, the cab had a spectator view monitor mounted on top of the cab so bystanders could watch gameplay while player was playing the game. The game was the second game that I had seen that required two coin credits per gameplay while obvious first was WG in 1975.

I remember in summer 1983 while walking past the arcade on lower level of Westminster, CA Mall, the arcade had one Atari Star Wars cab next to a Dragons Lair cab that was placed about 10 feet away, but both cabs were side by side. The two cabs were set outside of the arcade to accommodate the very long lines…especially the line of players wanting to play Star Wars. The Star Wars line had a line of about 50 people in line waiting to play Star Wars while the line waiting to play Dragons Lair was about 20 in line.

Both lines of players waiting to play each game were trashing each other with verbal insults. Star Wars gamers calling Dragons Lair fans nerds or dweebs while the line of gamers for Dragons Lair calling out Loserz to those waiting to play Star Wars.

I went inside arcade and played a couple rounds of Bosconian and Elevator Action and left while the two lines of gamers waiting to play either Star Wars or Dragons Lair didn’t seem to move at all. Probably the same pace then as it is these days when waiting in line for any ride at Disneyland.

I remember, back in the day, when Disneyland had a nice arcade right by Space Mountain.

Correct. It was built into as part of Space Mountain when the attraction opened. It was Starcade and was two levels with attendees having to walk up the escalator to get the upper level where there were air hockey tables, rows of pinballs, and a few of the multiple player car video games such as Exidy Car Polo, Atari Indy 4, Atari Sprint 4 video game cabs. The lower level was all upright video game cabs. A lot of upright video game cabs, but there also were a few cocktail table games as well. There was a Sega Tic Tac Quiz game there and that was only location I recall seeing that game. I never saw Tic Tac Quiz anywhere else.

I was with relatives there in summer 1977 and found myself addicted to playing Exidy Circus that day. Folks mention Pac-Man Fever. Mine was Exidy Circus Fever. I kept going back and wanting to play “one more game” of Exidy Circus when I had the chance while there that day.

The penny arcade on Main Street there had decent mechanical cab games along with a mix of modern era electromechanical games there. The penny arcade also had a couple of the pong clone games that were likely coming from Starcade.

And also on the outside of the Pirates of Caribbean ride were several dozen Midway, Chicago Coin rifle gun games tucked into a small enclosed structure area.
