Assuming you have a full rom set, if you look in your 'roms' directory, you can delete pretty much everything that starts with the letters PEP except for PEPSIMAN. That is NOT a gambling game. This is the Players Edge machines, which is a majority of the gambling games. Yes, there are others, but that is a good start. The size of each is 25-50KB, which is very small, so if you are doing it to save space, it is not worth your time. You are going to get so little space back it will not be worth it. 344 files taking up 14.3MB if you have every set in the 262 rom set.

Although the IGT PEPlus systems might be in the lead for now, Aristocrat and Barcrest might eventually catch up and surpass the number of what is currently supported of IGT brand titles.

Back in the long ago days, catlist was mentioned as being a tool that users had posted long ago of being able to remove what they didn’t want on storage disks etc.

https://catlist.mameworld.info

https://github.com/mamesupport/catver.ini

https://www.progettosnaps.net/catver/

I haven’t followed that area these days, so I am unsure what tools users are working with these days.

Recently, I found myself in a similar situation, where I needed to delete all mature games and wasn't sure how to go about it. Anyway, after searching for a bit, I stumbled across Mame Content Manager Plus, which worked perfectly. Yeah, it is old software, but if you get a new catver.ini file you should be fine, plus it still works.

While I was deleting the mature games, I also went ahead and got rid of the casino and gambling games, and, again, it worked perfectly. The only thing I'd caution you about is to not get too overzealous, as you might end up deleting needed BIOS files (resulting in the games dependent on said BIOS to not work - that happened to me with the Neo Geo bios).

You can get Mame Content Manager Plus here: https://www.mcm.mameworld.info/

Hope that helps!
