Thanks for sharing ! Happy New Year !

There's some table tops i've never seen before so they're gonna be very expensive now, but i bet the 1s that are about are already in collectors hands.

Sure thing. Yeah those table tops are ancient so the ones that still exist and are in working condition probably bring a high price.

The Vectorbeam Scramble flyer find is a great find.

I wonder if Westlake used Meadows pcbs or Fun Games pcbs for their own cocktail table product since both Meadows and Fun Games probably already had their products on the market.

> Hustle the Gremlin girl for a $100 bill!

Skip Hustle and go with ‘Bump n Grind’ instead like Benny Hill would have done.

https://www.flyerfever.com/hustle-en-us-black-and-white-flyer/

For the challenge, I would choose Gremlin’s wall game of Trap Shoot instead. That’s where the real action happens.

off topic: The advertisement mentions June 1977. Going by memory trip road, I moved onward from elementary and on to junior high for grades 7 to freshman years. On the first day of junior high beginning level band practice, the band director had indicated I would be in Intermediate band when junior would begin on first day of school year 1977-1978. And within first week of school got promoted to the Big Leagues of advanced band and would be 1 of 2 members of the marching band as 7th graders that year. I played tenor drum that year and snare drum the following 2 years.

Years 1977 to 1979 were damn great years for coinop scene because Knott’s had Buffalo Nickel arcade while Disneyland had Starcade built as part of Space Mountain. I played the various Nintendo film reel games, Exidy Circus, PSE Desert Patrol, Atari Canyon Bomber, Gremlin Depth Charge and Gremlin Frogs. Loads of memorable games that I enjoyed.

Probably not as much as folks would guess.

In 2006 or 2007, I had an eBay purchase of maybe $ 20 or $ 30 for the Bailey Fun Four pcb from a seller in Lawndale, CA. I drove there and picked up the pcb from seller while he and I were talking. He had mentioned about purchasing about 25 to 50 pong cocktail tables that would have been destroyed had the tables not been purchased.

https://www.flyerfever.com/fun-four/

He was unable to find buyers for the working tables even though he did advertise to lots of places. And then glumly started parting them as spare parts for sale and was glad I had bought a pcb from him. He sort of recognized me from one of the photos of the 2003 SoCali MAME meet when Mr. Do posted photos that year since he also visited MAMEWorld and RG websites. He knew the idea was to get pcb and have proms dumped so maybe a slim chance Fun Four could be emulated.

But he also did mention the various paperwork including logic schematics had been already thrown away by previous owners of the cocktail tables and mentioned some of side instruction plates had also been removed including Bailey Fun Four instruction plate. If anything of those cocktail tables are still in existence in comply piece these days it would be a near miracle.

Another flyer shows a photograph of the Scramble cabinet. It was licensed to ADP Automaten GmbH.

I forgot about that flyer and also the fact that the monitor image was used as an image on Bobby’s unMAMEd page for that entry. Good that you have multiple flyers of the game.

A reminder of SNK flyer waiting out there to eventually be on Flyer Fever later. Interesting that Frank Cifaldi had mentioned about the SNK games and eventually two are emulated while the very first game of the series Block not yet emulated, but hopefully a pcb can be found and dumped.

I still have the PCB, harness, and control panels from my Fun Four, which disintegrated. The top was smashed in the process of its unceremonious death (termite and water damage, before I obtained it). I think it was the same Fun Four that was bought in this old raid, as the missing paint on the control panel, as well as the missing chunk of wood on the underside of the top, matches mine (scroll down a bit for a couple of pictures)- https://arcadeblogger.com/2023/04/10/arcade-raid-south-dakota-mega-haul/

I bought it in early 2020 from a collector in Lawton, MI.

If my PCB can help with any preservation, let me know. I honestly don't know if it works, as I could never get a monitor or modified TV to sync with it, and I got no sound from it.

That Super Break cocktail looks like one of those restaurant booth cabs that were popular in Japan.

I agree. It's interesting to see the subtle but different cocktail cabinet styles for the same game too.

Your reference to the booth cabs reminded me of the flyer for Break Try.

I vaguely recall that was mentioned way back in the past, but didn’t remember who mentioned it. If able to take digital photos and upload each photo over to Mr. Do’s artwork forum, that would be great. “Siftware” had dumped a couple Bailey Fun Four pcbs with proms now documented within MAME source code so the prom files could be used to try and preserve Fun Four pcbs in the future. I never recall seeing Fun Four in person way back then. It was probably simply digital beep sounds during gameplay. It would be ideal if anyone still has paperwork of the game especially any actual logic schematics of the pcb hardware and any components.

I wish couriersud would return because it was his work that got things rolling for some of the non-cpu emulation to happen. There may have been a couple TTL chips not yet emulated that were used to run some of the games.

Fortunately some of the non-cpu coinop games are now playable along with several games using analog hardware to generate sounds had been worked on back in 2020.
