BletchMAME help
#396036 - 04/19/23 05:50 AM

I downloaded the latest version, 2.16 (August 2022), and used it with standard mame 0.253 from mamedev.org .

But when I tried to run a game it shows a black screen. It shows the loading progress etc and the artwork (dulled), then nothing.

The dulled artwork makes me think that it's stuck in pause. However no matter what I pressed it wouldn't run.

Any ideas?

I think I've found an answer - not the one I wanted though.

The last time that the author logged on anywhere appears to be 2022-08-15, and he's completely disappeared after that.

So, I expect there won't be a fix, or any kind of support.

Absolutely not - he can fix his own problems. I won't interfere.

It seems he's still alive, but for whatever reason found better things to
do, no longer into emulation. At least that's how it appears at a guess.
