Mario Kart - Controls and Network

Hi all, I am new to TeknoParrot. I have got Mario Kart running but I can not use the keyboard to do anything - so I can not actually play the game. Also please can somebody explain how to set up multiplayer/network

Actually, this is Emuchat. Other emulators outside of MAME are allowed to be discussed so long as they don't link to or discuss where to get missing files/roms - I don't see the problem.
There may be a more focused forum hosted by elsewhere that deals with that specific emulator, however.
