I concur with all of the sentiments!
I will miss MAMEUI.
It seems (at least to me) to be the easiest way to access the 'software' ROMs for computers and consoles.
I now have the same pit-of-the-stomach feeling as when ArcadeOS went under years ago.

Hard work would actually involve maintaining the codebase, as opposed to just reverting out changes from mainline MAME because he's incapable of using a non-decrepit toolchain. But hey.
