Well folks I stopped playing emulators and decided to get back into it since getting Covid. I remember this was a PITA in the past and it seems to have not changed. MAMEUI is not just showing some available games....IT's showing everything from different emulators I have to other systems I've ever heard of. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

MAME was merged with MESS and it is for this reason that the list shows many non arcade systems.
You can solve continuing to use MAMEUI with .ini files that filter the list (that you can download here) in Category package or switch emulator "Arcade" provided by Robbbert (that you can download here) containing only working arcade games.
The choice is yours.

okay decided to switch to Arcade and loaded up the app and now it's showing games I don't have in my ROMS folder...

....because such sets don't use roms
