They have an option on their website to check to see if your vehicle is eligible. My truck is over 10 years old, so I thought it would be fun to see what would happen. It is interesting to note that there is a button on my stereo panel for Sirius programming, so it was added as an option back in the day.
When I did the VIN lookup based on the license plate, I got the following message: We're not able to perform a VIN lookup at this time. You can use this service again later.
I put in my VIN, and then ended up getting this message: Unfortunately, your radio is not equipped for satellite service. However, you can stream on the SXM App with a Platinum subscription.
This means that I would need to pay more on my phone bandwidth subscription in order to take advantage of the "free 3 months", and even then, the Platinum service is not included in the offer.
This is not meant to be an attack, but I was curious how they were going to deal with my 10+ year old truck that I had the option of activating for free the first month I bought it, but never did.

A one-year subscription was included with the new car I bought in December, 2019. I didn't extend it and have ignored the occasional trial offer I've gotten in the mail. Figured I would give this no-cost trial a try and it worked. I will probably let it expire, though. Just not my cup of tea.
