one game name found for Moose

Rather than bring back a 2014 thread since a lot of games in the thread are now preserved, I will link to the post by Moose in the thread from 2014.

There was a guess of a space exhibit item in some other old thread on MW forums iirc
Btw: the pdf links from Moose 2014 post no longer work. I did send a message to Moose regarding this current 2022 post in case he is still around.
There wasn’t anything to go on that could have helped Moose at the time because there was stuff still yet to be found in 2014. Since 2014, a lot has been achieved including Dan gathering arcade flyers and founding Flyer Fever website.
As Moose described the game Lunar Lander on Steroids, I had a guess that the game may have been imported from Japan in which the game was a lesser known game manufactured by one of the mid size Japanese firms not as well known.
That was my guess then.
— I wonder if he is looking for Moon Lander by Shoei, which fits the bill.

~ Dan —
I am certain Dan is correct with the game name since it does look like Moose description of Lunar Lander on Steroids.
Dan has saved my previous search stress for some game names and flyers including Nintendo Wild Gunman and Nintendo Skyhawk many years ago. Without Dan, Mr. Goodwraith, and Stiletto, I would probably still be searching.
I am certain Shoei Moon Lander is still on the wanted list, but this might be one of the game names that Moose was searching for.
About that Choplifter 1987 game….I don’t have an answer for that and I did what I could do for Moose at the time. If anyone in Australia or New Zealand recalls seeing the game that Moose has been trying to remember (Choplifter 1987 prototype game), Moose would be thankful of the game name.
At least Shoei Moon Lander is likely one of the game names he has been searching for and that can now be a closed issue. Hopefully found and emulated in the future. If Planet Probe could be found like in 2012, there has to be better odds with Shoei Moon Lander imo.

Really appreciate your help Greg and Dan, but Moon Lander definitely isn't the game.
I'm still searching for the 2 games: Choplifter on Steroids and Lunar Lander on Steroids.
If all goes really well, I hope to do a remake of at least part of the first level for each of these games.
Moose Still here on Mame forums, just nowhere near as often. For about 15 years, Mame forums (and later MameWorld forums) was the main place I hanged out on the internet each day.

I was certain Dan would have the name. Visit both TAFA website and Dan’s Flyer Fever web site. And then look for flyers by companies Artic / ATW and Hoei and Shoei My guess is one of those probably made the Lunar Lander style game.

If you still have the PDF description files, they can be uploaded here so others can download them to see if some similar game might be what you are searching for.

Okay. Maybe a couple screen snaps to post in this thread as well since the 2014 thread is way out of date. Good luck on your side.
