Congrats to the various contributors to get this game now in working / playable shape.

I had never seen the game before, but a friend had played it in an arcade in Vancouver BC back in mid 1980s iirc from what he had mentioned to me a long time ago. Going by his take, he was hooked on the gameplay himself and was bummed that he couldn’t find a place in USA that might have had the game. I lost track of his whereabouts after his employer had moved the company again from Midwest to east coast region. He would have enjoyed playing the game once again.
btw: I forgot that Skelagon wasn’t working because a couple of the ROMs need to be redumped. That was a game that I had seen at places, but it never caught my interest compared to Xevious.

Game look cheap made. His body parts doesn't move around. Would be a better if the body parts moving and shooting lasers from his mouth or hand.

It's 1982 man. Enjoy it for what it is.
Easy to say it should be different 40 years after the fact.

The fact that the boss image is detailed itself, the game designers probably maxxed out what they could from the Galaxian hardware pcb and couldn’t add any more visual effects that take up more memory capacity unless using an add-on pcb to do more features.
For now, rejoice that the game is finally playable…..and cross fingers that someone with a Skelegon pcb might help out later in order to get Skelegon up and running.

I wholeheartedly second the congratulations. Monster Zero was considered one of the "un(likely to be)slayable dragon" games with encryption. This is a big time win. I'd like to know how a second board showed up, I'm guessing that was a big assist with reverse-engineering the encryption. As far as I was aware, this game was very-to-extremely rare.
Cheers to all that have helped through the years for this grand achievement 🍷
