Hi,
I'm fairly sure the right people know this already, but :
https://forum.mamedev.org
appears to be not working. I get a page that says :

mysqli_connect function does not exist, is mysqli extension installed? []
An sql error occurred while fetching this page. Please contact an administrator if this problem persists.
This is probably not the right place to post/ask about this, but I couldn't think of somewhere more appropriate.

Yes, the right people are already aware of it.

Hrm. I would at least be kinda sad if it wouldn't be fixed, but we all know that other MAME related forums get more visits than that one.
Do I at least get a golden sticker for trying to do TheRightThing(tm) and report it ?

Just out of curiosity - and feel free to completely ignore this - but I was wondering if it is known what the issue is ? I mean, if it would be as simple as editing a configuration file it would have been done by now. So I guess that leaves slightly nightmare-ish options like: the required (mysqli) extension is not enabled in the php installation, and the hosting provider will not add it; or the required (mysqli) extension requires a version of php that is not installed by the hosting provider and they will not change it.
