Enhancement idea: color.ini and mono.ini

This would let me do things like enable shadow mask effects for color games and disable them for B&W ones.

How possible would it be?

AntoPISA already has a monochrome.ini here...

I meant something like raster.ini and vector.ini — mame.ini files that would be applied to color games vs. mono games during loading. Although the list you mention would be a good starting point for marking which games get which .ini applied (assuming there's nothing in the code that just knows this already).

If you wanted to use a front-end, MAME Classic will allow you to do that.
You can set the options for monochrome and color games independently. It will also allow independent settings for raster or vector.
