What are these MAME files for then

I have the .229 split roms and these two files came out.


Mame-.229-roms-split.-7z_meta.sqlite

and

Mame-.229-roms-split.-7z_meta..xml

Do I need to use these files somehow?

Nothing I've ever seen in a released MAMEDEV package so you are on your own. We don't discuss anything to do with acquiring romsets in this forum.
