my build of MAMEUI 0.229 doesn't execute

Question for you: I run your pre-compiled MAMEUI64 and it works fine.
I tried to build my own version (as I've done for years) and it builds MAMEUI.EXE (without the 64, like MAME.EXE doesn't have 64 anymore, with the same build parameters that I've done in the past) but the app never opens the main window.
It opens the splash screen and goes away.
Is there anything I can look at to paste here to try to find out why this may be happening?
Thanks.

Thanks. I tried the MAME.EXE that I compiled and it's doing the same thing, so I assume this would have to be fixed in the main project before it's fixed in UI.

I spent quite a while last night trying to find why the UI crashed, but due to the long link times and lack of proper tools I was forced to give it up and go back to 10.1 . The main project is using 10.2 for MAME (as am I), so you might have some other issue as well.

I'm on a complete updated set of tools at gcc 10.2 and my compile is doing the same thing. Splash screen, then a pause and then nothing else happens.

Use 10.1 - there seems to be some incompatibility between 10.2 and winui.

Maybe, but that does seem strange. I built 0.228 with gcc 10.2 with no problem at all.

10.1 is not available anymore on the MSYS repo (http://repo.msys2.org/)

Does anyone know of a good way to get GCC 10.1 back?
I tried to download an older version of the mamedev tools and it's still 10.2
As usual, I did an update to the tools before trying to build and 231 doesn't even start to build. It just freezes up.
I'll try with the older version of 10.2 that I was able to get a hold of to see how well that works.
