MAME .220 and TAB Key for game specific settings

is there a way to map the TAB key to another key(s)? Can't seem to find where to do that -- so I don't need my keyboard when I want to enable a game's cheats -- and only can use my X-Arcade Tankstick

Select INPUT (GENERAL) > USER INTERFACE and change the mapping to CONFIG MENU to what you desire.
