It’s supposed to be an acronym for "that ho over there". I think it’s supposed to imply lack of individuality.

Current vocabulary is strange. Right now the words "advantage" and "disadvantage" were replaced by "privilege" and "opression" respectively. I suppose that is a radical view to hide each own's side of the fence has something positive, while the other side has to deal with something else negative among their "privileges". We shouldn't for example support a racist movement to take down another. "All lives matter".

Not sure where you're getting that impression. Folks on the left are pretty consistently of the view that sex work is work.
There's an entire dialogue to be had here about the fact that people should be able to work a reasonable, mainstream job without having to turn towards sex work in order to make ends meet. At the moment it's viewed as something that people only turn to as a last resort, and in that respect I completely agree - if it's your own son or daughter, it's preferable that they have enough opportunities in life to not hit that last resort.
But at the end of the day, there are absolutely people out there who like to fuck, who like the financial margins involved, and as long as the industry is regulated - regular testing for STD's, consent being considered absolute - then I see no reason why people shouldn't be able to bone for cash.

Yep, 100% this with regards to that kind of thing.
The 'degrading' dialogue comes from situations where people have been forced into that line of work, as they have no other options, but don't want to be doing it, and have to work with customers who look down on them, because they can't afford to say no.
But in terms of pro-choice, if that's what somebody wants to do, and enjoys it, there is plenty of support. The 'left' view is that as long as you're not intentionally causing harm to others, you should absolutely be who you want to be.
I answered something similar to my comrade (same nationality) here, however the country I live in has a tendency to copycat everything the neighbour above does. Now we have to deal with "left" and "right" wingers that feel entitled to blame the other side without realizing they are also part of a problem, unable to accept their fault on it and cooperate to fix it too.
