I saw on the arcade-museum website an entry for a 1984 Golgo 13 by Taito, but I don't see it on MAME and it's not listed on any the undumped Arcade game lists either.
I know there are three Golgo 13 games done by Namco/Raizing that came out after 1999, but I've never seen any done by Taito.
Check the rear box art on MobyGames. It does list the Saito company, so I'd chalk this up to folks not knowing what they're talking about (although I will gladly accept it if I'm wrong ) However, this is the title screen I just found, so I'm going to stick with error for now:

On a semi-related note, Golgo 13 is an iconic Japanese comic book / manga series.
Rather than play any games based off of it, you should read its manga instead.

As per the other posts, Golgo 13 was a very popular manga - it even had an anime series created and could be viewed on the anime network at one time (I have seen all the episodes). The game (at least the first one) is in MAME, but has had reported issues. It is a gun game, but, if I remember correctly, the gun calibration had some issues at one time. I know that it did work in a version of MAME from about 8 or so years ago, but it required a hefty processor, otherwise you would experience slowdown. It looks like the calibration issue was fixed a few years ago: https://mametesters.org/view.php?id=6042 I remember it being a fun game to play, and the anime was very well done.

Thanks. I did think it was mistaken for that game, but I wanted to ask more knowledgeable people just in case I was missing something.
