Hi, First of all, excuse my total ignorance on PS3 controllers, even joysticks in general. Never had a console in my life, so all this is quite new for me. Now, I've been given a pair of PS3 controllers. Used of course. So, I did what every old arcade-era person would do. Just plug them and try them. No luck. Nothing happens. I hitted TAB and checked the input settings. Up maps to keyboard arrow (which works) AND "Joy Up", but that doesn't work. So I guess it's not the default setup. Now, I've been told to charge the ps3 controllers, and so I did. They were blinking all the time, now it's stopped. Tried again, but no results So, I ask the experts here, what do I need to do in order to get these specific controllers to work? I'm using latest mameui64 with mostly "classic era" games (pacman, frogger, ladybug, etc.), with Metal Slug X being the most "modern"... Thanks a lot!

I have no way of testing this myself, so proceed at your own risk, but maybe this will work.
