I have a ServoStil with the motor and the yellow gearbox and do not have the Control Board.

I put 5 volts on the motor and the arm goes one way and if I reverse the polarity it goes the other way.

I was just going to put a switch on it to operate the motor but looks like it is not that simple.

I am using HyperSpin and was not going to get it to select 4 or 8 way.

Can this be used without the Control Board?

I'll buy a controller board and connect it to HyperSpin, as no one here to comment on this matter.

Just hoped there was a simolier way of doing it.

Hello I dont see why you would want that, with the board your servostik will change 4 or 8 way automatically depending on the game, that's at least why i got it...and one board can handle 2 motors...

Thanks for the reply. It turns out with my NeoGeo low boy cabinet there is not much depth in the joystick panel and the solenoid board will not fit there.

So I have gone with the three D printed one that uses a rc aeroplane servo to select 4 and 8 way. Only problem with that one is the mounting holes do not line up perfectly to go straight into the 4 way corner so I am just goint to slot the mounting screw holes bigger to get it to work properly.

I guess no one has gotten the ServoStick to work on a NeoGeo low boy cabinet as the ServoStick is the best option.

Still trying to find a way to install the ServoStick into the NeoGeo cabinet control panel with no room for the motor on any side of the ServoStick.

Maybe a wire to the outside of the cabinet to adjust 4 and 8 way.

I'll persist with the ServoStick as it is a great joystick.
