I tried to contact this guy some time ago without success...

Have you tried to contact him to see if he would want to have these scanned? As he is a collector, I doubt he want all those posters scanned, or even some of them. And if he agrees to have them scanned, it would require a large scanner (expensive) or he would have to take the posters to a shop to have them scanned, and it cost some money as well.

See if he is accepting offers to scan these posters and let us know here. Good luck!
