mame .176 problem, still cant find the answer

i have everything set up on mame .176. it has the problem that the UI input config goes off the screen. i found some post that said it only happens on 32 bit version. i was wondering if there was a fix for it. i know upgrading mame would fix it, what version can i get, without having problems with my rom set not working. i spent some time getting CHD to works. thats why i would rather fix it, than upgrade.

Do yourself a favor & get the latest Mame, & latest sets on Pleasuredome. You'd be lucky if anyone will help you with that old version of Mame on here, it's from July 2016, lots of improvements have happened in Mame since then.
