Hi
Have you ever considered to include the same complete info for all the versions of a game. It's a bit annoying to have this kind of message, even with "world" or "usa" versions :

"Export release. Game developed in Japan. For more information about the game itself please see the original Japanese release entry; "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Super Kame Ninja [Model GX963]".

or

"Model 2B version. For more information about the game itself, please see the original Model 2A release entry; "Pilot Kids [Model 2A]".
"

Just a suggestion, thank you for your work.

Hello, Sorry for the late answer.

The History.dat is extracted from the arcade-history database. For the historical record, all versions of a game have their own entries with their specific information. Non-specific information are stored on the original version of the game.

Arcade-history.com doesn't have the same logic as MAME have:

In MAME, the parent is the newer version and clones are the older version, just like an inversed patch.

In AH, the "parent" is the older one (original) and "clones" are the newer versions (patched, exported, re-released, etc...). I always found that more logical.

So sometimes, some clones doesn't have a specific information (not counting the fact they are exports or reissues) for now and their entries are redirecting you to the original versions of these games. I know it can be a bit annoying for some users but, at least, you get the information that you are playing an export or a reissue and not an original, that's an information

Globaly, I'm giving a high priority to Japanese versions/contents since their are most of the time the originals. Only real "USA original" games have a chance to get their original information, like Smash T.V., Total Carnage, and many others.

I'll try to complete more clones information by adding information on how they are differents from their originals.
