Neat Hack A Day article about a reverse engineered version of the original Sound Blaster card

Its not the first clone of the Sound Blaster but its the first time anyone has actually reverse engineered it and made schematics and a PCB and stuff.
I wonder if MAME can emulate the Sound Blaster DSP rom now that its been dumped...

MAME has had LLE emulation of the Sound Blaster 16 for literally years, what rock have you been living under? The SB16 is a more advanced version of the original Sound Blaster.

What gets me is the things are going for 100-200 on ebay?! Get the AWE32 or at least the 16... They are the better cards.

Not really.
The sb16 and AWE32/64 had some odd quirks with older games here and there that the 1.0 and 1.5 did not have. But nothing where I would say they are worth that much. But hey if people are willing to pay it I guess they are?
