How do I make IV/Play show only the roms I have?

I have MAME 0.207 with a carefully-curated set of about 400 roms, all in "non-merged" form. Some of them are what MAME would consider a parent, and others are what MAME would consider a clone (for example, the US version of a game).
I'm trying IV/Play. When I put it into my Mame directory and launch it, it gives me a list of 12567 games, some for home or handheld, most of them having nothing to do with Mame.
How can I get IV/Play to show me only the games which I have available to play? Like selecting "Available" from the folder list in MameUI?
(I don't want to have to manually find each of my 400 games and 'favorite' it by hand, but if there's some automated way to do that I'd go for it.)

There is no auditing in IV/Play so it shows them all. Easiest would be to create a favorites.ini using the 'DIR /b' command on your ROMs directory from commandline redirected to a text file called favorites.ini then bring it into notepad and prune off the .zip extensions, leaving a favorites.ini with one rom set per line.
dkong centiped galaga etc.
Then in IV/Play use the Favorites only view.

Sounds like a good idea. I'll try that; thank you!
