I'm sure you already know about this (see the link below). I did search for the same topic that was made in this forum, but nothing comes up... Thus, the duplicate topic.

Anyway... So I caught this short (6 Ep.) anime series on YouTube the other day. At first, I didn't connect the two.

You can watch up till when he says; "Oh baby!" if you want. I mean, if you're going to watch it, might as well start from the beginning, right?
So the comparison or 'inspiration'? Slender chick with short hair (it's black, not white), the "vast savannahs of Africa stretching out behind her..."
The only other comparison with another character I can think of is 'Storm' from the X-Men, due to her white hair.
