Basic Help for a Noob

I have been running MAME for arcade machines for quite a while in conjuction with Maximus Arcade. I did have it up and running with NEO Geo as well at one time. However i bought a new computer, and now only the arcade stuff works. Is there an idiot proof tutorial out there that will explain how I can get MAME to work with
1. Turbo Grafx
2. Neo Geo
3. Intellivision
4. Colecovision
I have searched the web and everything i find does not seem to work for me. I can not even get MAME to work on these systems by it's self.
I appreciate any help anybody can give me !!!

Based on the information you have given I honestly cannot tell what is going wrong for you, but in general, and for this forum it might provide useful if you could :
State what MAME version and variant (official MAME, MAMEUI, etc) you are using, and on what platform (and version) you are running MAME (Windows, Linux, Mac, etc.).
Furthermore, if you could provide the following that would be helpful:
1.) Steps taken to reproduce the issue.
For example: Start the Windows Explorer, browse to the C:\Mame folder, and doubleclick on mame64.exe. Use the MAME internal menu to browse to 'pacman', and start that game by doubleclicking that title/name.
2.) Expected result.
Example: Pacman starts, and I can play the game.
3.) Actual result.
For example: If you get an error message, what is that exact message ? Do you get a black screen that stays there forever but the game does not start ? Does the entire computer freeze and you have to reboot ? Something else ?

Here is the answers to the questions you ask
1. MAME Ui32
2. I just run Mame from the command prompt, and then click on an ICON in the game window on the interface
3. Figure the game should load up like it did in the earlier computer
4. I get a bunch of messages that it is missing files....
6e not found
6f not found
6h not found
6k not found
etc, etc, etc, etc........
(This is from trying to run AliBaba in NEO Geo) I get different file names with different games... But it is all about missing files. And these worked on my older computer with MAME
