Apparently in the file MK3_source_windows_RC2.tar there is the source code to the arcade version of MK3.

Is possible, maybe is a prototype too, but not have idea about compile this source
The N64 version is the "closest" version to the final release

In case the 4chan thread gets deleted:

There's an passworded zip file called MK3REV21.ZIP in RC2\MK3SRC\V13 and it appears to be encrypted using zipcrypto. Anyone want to a take a shot at cracking it?

Looks like the PSX archive in there is a copy of the PSYQ dev tools - I know something purporting to be the PSX UMK3 source is out somewhere else though, as a coworker showed it me yesterday - I'll ask around.

The N64 source is weird, the compiled build is clearly before they cut the cartridge space down as it still features the unmasked SubZero instead of Johnny Cage, and a lot more animation than the final release.

What's bizarre is that in the source, there appear to be two separate entries for Johnny, one labelled 'OLD'. I haven't checked if the OLD files are there for the characters that had MK1 and MK2 versions included on the other platforms, but I wonder if Daniel Pesina art was being used as a placeholder until they finished filming Chris Alexander? I guess until some determined soul works on a file viewer we'll never find out.

EDIT: Apparently Googling "ultimate mortal kombat 3 psx source" is enough, wow.

Might be something for those looking to create a UMKT for N64, or add onto MK3

Seems there was a character called "Tusk Guy". His moves are in moves.asm, his char in mktusk.asm and it seems later they renamed him into Kabal (move called "show yo ugly face",k "floor blade" etc). I don't see any gfx/sound assets in the asm code though.

Similar, there's "Swat Guy" and "Lia Guy" in the code.

diagpic.asm holds some funny confidental message, and the PIC security source

From this file it seems Wolf unit was called WWF-Unit internally.
