Mame not loading after installing ArcadeVGA 5000

Hi gentlemen,

I recently purchased the card and have it installed on a 64bit Win7 Pro. Does anyone know why MAME works perfectly before I installed the video card and software, and now whenever I open mame64.exe the cmd pops up and disappear and it is just not loading anything?

FYI, this is what I have:
mame 0.197 64bit
HyperSpin 1.5.1
Rocket launch 1.2.0.1
Sega blast city with Toshiba ms2931
I have edited the mame.ini to match with the installation instructions.

Please help, pleaseee help!!!

Open a windows command prompt in your MAME directory and try running MAME from the command line to see what error you get.

There's no way for anyone to help without specific error messages.

Thank you for your advise. Unfortunately I’m not a programmer but, here is what I got from cmd

Proposed video mode not supported on device \\.\DISPLAY1
Unable to initialize Direct3D9
Fatal error: Unable to complete window creation

Please help!!

Try installing the DirectX 9.0c redist package. Around 95MB in size.

Your arcade monitor is a Tri-Sync model, correct?

Did you install the Ultimarc Tri-Sync utility as directed in the instructions?

Did you use the Auto-Resolution utility as directed in the instructions?

Please let me know if you can do remote help. Sorry I have been trying to fix this for about a month and I feel so devastated at the moment....

It sounds like your video drivers aren't installed properly. Try re-installing the ArcadeVGA drivers...

I'm pretty sure it's not a MAME problem.

If you Google the error message you're getting, it looks like a problem with the video card or the video card drivers.

For example, check this thread out...

Do you have another video card installed in addition to the ArcadeVGA? Have you disabled the on-board video in the computer's BIOS?

Are you sure you have the latest DirectX 9 installed (see the link in my previous post)?

Also, check in Windows Device Manager and see if the ArcadeVGA shows up correctly.

Thanks for your advise, it seems like there isn’t a on/off switch, in the bios, for me to turn off the on-board video. I think i will have to get another mobo in order for me to move to the next step

It might not be necessary. Some motherboards will automatically disable the onboard video when you plug in a physical video card. It was just something to check.

What about the other things I mentioned?

Also, maybe try running dxdiag to check for directx problems.
