Jaleco Exerizer (Sky Fox) incorrect star field scrolling

I've been meaning to report this for a while now, but difficult to explain in words so I created a (not very good) video - link below.
This game has a really nice 3-d like scrolling star field, one of the nicest I've seen. It's multi-colored and has a nice solid feel about it. MAME shows this only as a grey star field.
I've also included most of the attract modes for information.
There is also a bit of gameplay footage at around 7 mins. One thing to note is that, if you do not move (for the first time after pressing start), the dragon misses you in the actual arcade game (every time). In MAME, it hits you. Not quite sure if that is some kind of difficulty setting or a bug.
