Question about v197 for Robbbert...
#375908 - 04/30/18 05:44 AM

Did you know that in the folder view if you choose "All Systems" it only shows the MESS list of items? If you choose "Available" it does show both the Arcade & MESS lists together though(at least the ones you do have).

Is this a new change that I missed or something not compiled correctly? Or are you adding an Arcade folder at some time too?

Still it would be nice to have an All Systems folder actually with all the systems together, if you are changing these on purpose.

I haven't compiled this yet myself, I usually just use yours for the UI side, but I can if need be...

Thanks for all the work on keeping this dinosaur rolling...

I use the 32bit version of MAMEUI 0.197 and what you describe to me does not happen...

Maybe you have a filter on that folder. See ctrl-F.

Thanks John, that was it.

Arcade was checked...somehow. I've never really used the filters so I didn't think about that.

And why would I filter the arcades out of "All Systems"? Must've hit something by accident I guess...Fixed now...My bad..

Thanks again!

Thanks for asking this question. I had noticed the same thing and was wondering if I had accidentally activated an option.

Apparently we didn't turn that filter on by accident. It's turned on in the .ini packaged with the new binary.

What I found:
Whenever I close & re-open MAMEUI v197 the last filter turned off is automatically turned on. Everything else is saved like it should & works as it should except for that last filter setting. It comes right back on. MAMEUI is forgetting(?) that the filter changed & is not saving it upon closing.

For some reason when you close it, in the .ini everything is getting saved as you set it except for the last filter(1st line at the top). It seems to let you save them if you turn them on in program & exit to save, but then you can't turn them all back off that way. It'll re-assert the last 1 you turn off when you restart so you'll need to do the last 1 manually in the .ini, if that's what you want(none on would be all zeros).

It also still randomly reset some column widths as usual for some reason but from what I could tell, most all other options were still intact.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong but I've never had this happen before...

Thanks again guys!

D'oh, that's my bad. I accidentally rolled my .inis/cfgs into the dist package.

lol , not a problem, just a surprise!

At least (I think) it brought attention to the real bug & now it's corrected.

Thx again Robbbert & John IV!
