HLSL effect
#375080 - 03/24/18 06:21 PM

Hi, all.

I want to just a little enlarge screen size in proportion to the current screen brightness dynamically.

Is it possible by HLSL?(or Would it be possible to add the effect to MAME?)

Brighter beam is more deflected by electromagnetic deflection coil than darker beam.
#It is noticeable on the old badly CRT.

Yeah, I had an old TV that did this, was very obvious if you had an amiga hooked and were trying to use something like deluxe paint, filling the top of the screen with white would make it noticeably wider than the black area you hadn't filled and cause the sidebar to distort. Although no, I don't think HLSL lets the screen shape change dynamically based on brightness
