Those women are probably grandmothers by now.

That's best case scenario for sure. I can imagine far worse...

Immortalized in their prime thanks to MAME now forever though...

Not important. *kidding*

But what is really important is....

...someone is going to get stuck with the 'double-plus-ungood' task of having to find versions 1.00 and 1.10 (if they do exist) of Strata/Incredible Technologies Time Killers pcbs.

A task that almost everyone is trying to avoid unless they are hardcore fans of that game.

Time Killers was one of my favorite games of the early nineties...probably only because it was one of two games at a local convenience store. The owner changed out the other cabinet a few times, but always left the Time Killers one there.

My arcade videogame convenience store years (from early 1970s to mid 1980s), it was either going to Thrifty's (a popular store chain decades ago) to play pinball or a couple of the electro-mechanical games at Thrifty's and a few liquor stores where one of the stores had a manager that didn't like kids playing any of the arcade games there. The guy would yell at my friends and I "These are for adults only you god damn kids so leave now."

The thing about that particular liquor store was no adults were playing the games Atari Breakout or one of the pong clones. Consider yourself fortunate that you didn't have some crazy manager working at where you were playing Time Killers.

I am not sure why, but long ago when Gridle was running old MAME.net web site and sometime in 2000 or maybe it was 2001 and it was when the various IT games were starting to be emulated, there were a few posts complaining of why awful games such as Time Killers and Street Fighter : The Movie arcade games were being emulated first compared to Capcom CPS-2 hardware games. It seemed like some of the hardcore Capcom CPS-2 hardware gamers back then during those early years of emulation couldn't stand any other scrolling fighter games unless it was a Capcom game. iirc one of the troll posters on old MAME.net forum posted at the time: "If it ain't a Capcom game, it sucks." That's why I labeled some of those posters then "CPS-2" kidz since most would be doing troll posts etc.

I am certain there will be earlier versions of Time Killers that have yet to be found and supported and most likely the work will be done by BrianT.
