I've built my own computers since 98 and the last one I actually bought quite a while back (my home builds still running!) and now it died so I'm looking at building a cheap replacement. Well since I haven't stayed up on cpu's advancement in about 5yrs and thought I would ask you guys. Now this isn't another which will run mame better question but a whats the best bang for your buck for around 125.00? I use it mainly to browse the net, compile and play mame and an occasional PC game. I want an intel chip and have no problem with overclocking some
I will be replacing the motherboard, chip, power supply, vid card. Plan to reuse both hard drives as one is a yr old and the other about 2 yrs old. reusing the dvd drive also. cant remember on the memory, I'll have to check its compatibility as this computer I have is a a duo core so I'll have to be sure to check it against the new chip and mobo.
Anyway single dad so my toys kind of take a back seat to more important things so if anyone has any advise on building a good solid performer on a budget I'd love to hear from you!
THanks guys!!
