Im confuse to MAME ROMS, street fighter champion edition - sf2ceua

Hello! im a new member and have a question!
In street fighter champion edition, a American version, (the one that appears in the FBI logo), 920313 USA, the rom in the MAME called sf2ceua, look inside of rom, have two roms called s92u_23a.8f and s92e_23b.8f two "23". where are the two roms that the MAME project found? please see

It looks like you or whoever you got that file from has hand edited/compiled the contents? You should pretty much never do that. You need to learn to use clrmame or else your roms are going to be a total mess.
sf2ceua.zip only needs 2 files last I checked but I don't have the latest updates.

I'm trying to make a street fighter champion edition hack and I was curious ... why do two 23 files appear (a and b) if the original board only has a 23 rom?

They don't naturally unless you use merged roms where all the sets/clones for a game are put into 1 zip. ClrMame is a must.
