Maybe you don't get all the speed you pay for. I can't say, I've never had upper tier service.
The cable, though?
It costs less than Service Electric.
The DVR/cable boxes aren't things that would be at home on my '80s-era stereo rack. They're reasonably modern devices with RF remotes, so just sit behind the TV out of the way.
The OnDemand service actually includes everything I've looked for so far, rather than a few shows from a few networks, and can be used over the internet as well as through the box, allowing any device to work.
This is at least a step up from what I had, even if I had to buy a modem/router to avoid a rental fee (replacing the old Linksys WRT54GL in the process), and the internet is faster.
