Does that mean a World version or a N. American region version exists and is needed?

There is likely a world or N. America version out there. This may be where the name Thunder Hoops 2 actually comes from, where as all the versions we have so far are titled TH Strikes Back.

I haven't been able to locate any title graphics for 'Thunder Hoop 2' in the ROMs, I doubt it was ever actually sold with that name.
