Reason: It will stop it at Archiving liboptional.a...
Just a note to the users who are using this scanner. Just right click the icon and then exit it.

Free version doesn't do it.

Can I see your settings on that?
Here are the settings I have enabled. On the right. There are 4 settings.
Anyway I close this program down before I run the make commands.
When this program still running it messes with the make commands. When it is off the make commands is fine.

Settings - Exclusions - Add the folder you compile MAME in. Easy peasy.

Dude, I've been using the paid version of Malaware bytes for about 4 years now and I've never had a problem compiling MAME while it's running
|

I will try that out. Both folders selected.
Note: I need send a payment. 2 years is up already. You see below. Heh.
Edit: It didn't help at all. Just shut it down good enough to me. Load it back up after the make is done. Weird protections program.

Who needs that kind of software anyway? I've lived nearly a decade without any kind of antivirus.
- Keep your system updated.
- Do not enter to shady websites.
- An Ad / Script blocker is obligatory.
- Run unknown or untrusted software, games or websites on virtual machines or a second partition / hard drive without access to your main partition (the easier to reformat / revert back the better).
I'm temped to add: Use Linux as your main OS but so far Windows 7 is still working fine.
