Very grateful for this version.
Now, if there was only a version that also keeps out the mahjong games.

And imagine a version that only keeps the arcade games you like...
I wonder why no such thing exists

If you want to see those boobies, you have to learn how to play!

Welcome back to Sept. 2000 where PacDude was king of hypocrites and complainers back in the old MAME.net web site days where he demanded MAME remove all adult themed arcade games for the sake of the children, but felt it was okay to set the example of having roms of games of pcbs he didn't own and let kids know that was okay to be that way.
I could care less myself, but it was that double standard hypocrisy preaching at that time that was dumb. iirc He got flamed pretty good at the time because the argument/flame thread went on for two to three weeks. Aaron Giles really let PacDude have it a couple years later. :-)
*memorable old MAME.net moments* - A lot of crazy stuff over the years. My long time favorite on old MAME.net will be the September 2000 flamefest in which PacDude called out Santeri S. (Gridle) regarding adult themed images on old MAME.net whenever Gridle did a daily WIP update.
PacDude complained on the forum about the adult images of game New Fantasia as WIP images that underage children can accidentally view when visiting old MAME.net site back then. Within a few hours, the thread went to over 100 entries iirc and would last nearly two to three weeks with users arguing with each other or calling each other names. PacDude was either bashing Haze, or RB or Guru would jump in and bash PacDude in return. Had to have been best emulation argument thread ever imo. I regret never saving/preserving that thread when I should have.
The other memorable event that stood out was in November 2000, MAMEdev Keith Wilkins had sent in a centralized discrete emulation concept in which it would handle the discrete audio emulation functions and each source file would interact with the cetralized discrete emulation rather than each source file doing its own discrete audio emulation function. The idea was good, but while Keith Wilkins worked on getting Atari Fire Truck discrete audio emulation working in spring 2001, it accidentally broke discrete audio emulation of Asteroids and Keith had left after doing Fire Truck. Asteroids fans went nuts and complained for three years until Derrick Renaud came to the rescue and fixed Asteroids audio in 2005 iirc.
The best moment during the Asteroids audio issues was when PacDude had bragged that he has an engineering degree (E.E.) in order to fix audio discrete emulation. Aaron Giles replied to PacDude with post: "Good for you there mister double E." LOL That was freaking classic burn imo.
PacDude always complained on old MAME.net forums whenever he thought MAMEdevs were doing things the wrong way back then. -

- starts reading mahjong rules - ![](//www.mameworld.info/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif)
Didn't mean to cause a huff. Certainly never would tell anyone what they can and can't play.

That's exactly what this binary does though.
A lot of casual noobs see Arcade in the name and simply assume it's the best without knowing any better.
