Sega model 2 emu crashes when trying to change analog controls

Hi all.
I can't find a solution anywhere, so here goes.
I am having drama with sega model 2 emulator crashing when i try to change the analog controls. --
--Note this only happens on my cab pc running xp sp3 it works fine on my windows 10 machine. -----
I can double click on the button controls and change them but when i try to change the analogs model 2 crashes and closes as soon as i double click on any of them. Its driving me nuts.
I have tried versions 0.8a, 0.9, 1.0, 1.1 and 1.1a without success.
But if it works on 1 pc i can only presume its a dependency issue or some such rubbish.
Anyone got any ideas? I cannot find anything on the net.

Why are you posting problems about the Sega Model 2 emulator here?? This is for MAME. You should post the question to the people that handle the Model 2 emulator

this forum is called EmuChat, not MAME Chat.

Okie. Still seems an odd place to post, cause these forums usually pertain to MAME questions. I hope he at least posted in there forums as well. And usually when I see questions about other emualtors in here, people have told them they should post the questions on there official sites. I always looked at EmuChat as the area to talk about the MAME emuator, since it's a sub forums under MAME WORLD CENTRAL

It used to be called MAME Chat (you can still see the legacy of this in URLs), but it was renamed to EmuChat to be more inclusive, since we're open to discussing other emulators here.

Well, MAME World Central also covers other arcade emulators like Demul or Supermodel into the news section. Also many other emulator developers come here once in a while. And it's usually the developer who tells them to post in the official forum or the correct subforum.
It's not like he was asking how to play Breath of the Wild on Cemu or something like that.

It looks like indeed he did before posting here. But given the official forum is a Spanish community and developer is inactive, it's rather low he would get a response. He however comes once in a blue moon, I hope he sees this thread.

I would suggest if it works fine with Win10, upgrade the box it's not working on, but that's all I got.

Could be an issue with DirectX? Maybe upgrading and reinstalling...
Maybe with the installer DirectX9.0 web setup, give it a try...
