Gradius is not on this list. That is a travesty. Without Gradius, there is no R-Type! 
Where's Fatal Fury 2 Special? Where's Samurai Shodown 2? Better games than SF2 by a mile.

That's DEFINITLEY a matter of opinion! Those games suck ass compared to SF2!!! There is no comparison. And sales & popularity prove my point

I didn't think it would be an issue. I'm basically clicking 50 times on every visit here checking sub-forums and new posts anyway 
Doesn't everyone and their grandmother run an Adblocker anyway?

Thanks for sharing. I mostly played pre 90's games, so I can't really comment on anything after then.
Personally, I would've added Centipede, Galaga, Phoenix, and spy hunter. All would be in my top 20. But it's all subjective
